Familiar with Lisbon, the city built upon seven
hills? Upon one of those hills you will find the Four Seasons Hotel
The Ritz Lisbon. It is without question a landmark from the outside,
modern and very prominent. Inside it is almost an art gallery dedicated
to the new artists of Portugal, for within the hotel, on the walls one
can find over 500 pieces of art, be they tapestries, sculptures and
paintings which break up the marble interior of this wonderful hotel.
Very well positioned this hotel has been designed in such a way that
all rooms and suites have views over the hotel’s gardens which
lulls the guest into feeling far more rural and countrified than indeed
is really the case. And some might be confused when they see what looks
like the San Francisco Golden Gate bridge. This is of course none other
than the famous 25th of April bridge, considered to be one of the longest
suspension bridges in the world and is reputedly the longest in Europe.
It was originally called the Salazar Bridge but was renamed to commemorate
the date of Portugal granting independence to its then African colonies
as well as becoming something of a democracy itself in 1974 – yes
you can probably guess the exact date somewhere around the 25th of April
per chance!!!? This bridge is the link between the city itself and the
south of the country, and is just over 1000 metres long. So don’t
forget to marvel at it!!!
What about the hotel..? 282 rooms and one more

The restaurant serves up cuisine that should first be photographed and
then eaten – very famous and very good, 24 hour service to your
room, valet, and so it goes on and on – let’s face facts what

hotel for rest and relaxation. The Four Seasons Hotel The Ritz Lisbon
is the best place to be to sample and enjoy Potugal – based in
Lisbon and in the heart of a city that was the inspiration for so many
great discoveries adventures and explorers.
